This week I went on exchanges with Elder Matis in Bergedorf, we had the nice whole day to do some finding. It was a good time and we found some contacts and hopefully found some people that are ready to hear more. Elder Matis is great, we talked basketball the whole time, ahh it was great. <\/p>\n

Met again with the family from Syria, they\u2019re doing pretty great. They really loved the plan of salvation, excited to meet with them again. Other than that, service and finding have been the name of the game.<\/p>\n

Something I’m more grateful this week is peace. In Nephi 18:21 we read about the storm that came when Nephi was tied up on the boat it says:
\nAnd it came to pass that I prayed unto the Lord; and after I had prayed the winds did cease, and the storm did cease, and there was a great calm.<\/p>\n

It talks about the “great calm” and it made me think about how we usually recognize that great calm after the storm but often forget that before the storm it was just as calm, it just took a storm for us to realize how peaceful it was. That’s a piece of how I know that our trials and struggles help us.<\/p>\n

I liked this poem I read in a talk from a while back.<\/p>\n

All paths that have been, or should be<\/p>\n

Pass somewhere through Gethsemane.<\/p>\n

All those who journey, soon or late,<\/p>\n

Must pass within the garden\u2019s gate;<\/p>\n

Must kneel alone in darkness there,<\/p>\n

And battle with some fierce despair.<\/p>\n

God pity those who cannot say:<\/p>\n

\u201cNot mine, but thine\u201d; who only pray:<\/p>\n

\u201cLet this cup pass,\u201d and cannot see<\/p>\n

The purpose in Gethsemane.<\/p>\n

-Our friend Elder Germann went home today, to get back for the Air Force \ud83d\ude22<\/p>\n

-Also did some more service at one of my favorite members, chopping wood.<\/p>\n

-Took a ferry with the car over the Elbe… 6 euro later…
